Located in the county of Dorset, Bournemouth is a southern coastal resort town and its prime position makes it a popular destination for tourists. This is due to the picturesque beaches and the thriving nightlife that has grown over the last few years. The seven miles of sand and sparkling sea allows for a wealth of watersporting opportunities, amongst plenty of other activities.
The shopping scene is also popular for both residents and tourists alike, with the main streets located just behind the seafront, with contemporary shopping malls and a large choice of bars, cafes and restaurants. The Bournemouth International Centre is a popular venue for a range of events in Southern England, from conferences to entertainment.
One of the most unique attractions is the Bournemouth Eye, a helium balloon attached by a steel cable that allows passengers to ride up to extraordinary heights. It can take up to 30 passengers at a time and provides breathtaking views.
